Yucca 'Color Guard' Stringy Swords

The center sword-like leaves of this wonderful variegated yucca have strange stringy strands that curl off the sides. This plant has plenty of personality and I love it.

Color Guard Yucca Stripes Turning Red

Seeing is believing. As promised by the nursery, the yellow stripes on this variegated yucca have turned somewhat red in winter. I think they will change back to yellow as spring and summer arrive. We'll see. This is my first year to grow this beautiful and unusual plant.

A Baby Variegated Yucca

This is my first year to grow this variety of yucca. Cold weather is supposed to make the yellow stripes change to partial red streaks, so I look forward to seeing if that happens in this climate with this odd plant.
