My First Daffodil....Early Sign of an Early Spring

What a joy to see this King Alfred daffodil open its bloom yesterday! Nothing says we will have an early spring better than seeing the first daffodil bloom in January. I am so sick of cold damp winter weather giving me head colds and cabin fever. This classic King Alfred has lifted my spirits and got my mojo working. I can't wait to start playing in the dirt this spring!

I think this is the first daffodil I have seen this year. It makes my day ... thank you for posting it!

How lucky you are to have your first daffodil out in bloom. It is a joy to see on a day when we are having a major snow storm.

That is a lovely sight. My first for the year too.

Though we have some few flowers in our garden, we are far away from the first daffodil (which normally blooms mid March). So yours is indeed the first one I see this year! Lucky you!
