Many years ago when I was in Agra, India touring the Taj Mahal, I was very impressed not only with the perfection of that famous building, but also the beautiful gardens around it. There was a hedge about 3' tall of "Song of India" plants that were just as dazzling as the white marble of the Taj Mahal.

"Song Of India" Dracaena Reflexa
Many years ago when I was in Agra, India touring the Taj Mahal, I was very impressed not only with the perfection of that famous building, but also the beautiful gardens around it. What a beautiful plant Jon! I will be happy to send you some seeds from the purple perilla. I didn't save any from last year so it will be later in the summer before I have any. You may have to remind me!
This is a stunning plant. I have one that isn't as pretty - it has white edges rather than yellow ones. I'd love to see a full hedge of them - it would be beautiful.
