Do you plant yours outside or just keep them indoors?

Halcyon, I keep them inside until after Easter and then I put the pots outside. On my sunporch they often stay in bloom for months. They are tender tropical plants, and it is too cold to plant them in the ground here. Rarely do I have good luck getting them to rebloom for next Christmas. Most folks just compost them after the holdays. This year I might do that also..... although it seems wasteful to me.

I heard that they need a period of dark before they will bloom again. I put mine in the the closet a few weeks back. I agree with you, I hate to throw a living thing away.
