Some Sweet Spring Signs!

My first two King Alfred daffodils opened this past weekend to signal spring is near. This sleepy little Ultima Morpho pansy has finally awakened from her winter slumber.

Even though many plants have started to bloom extra early, my daffodils are still in the bud stage. Go figure.

Oh lucky you! Mine are still thinking about it. They're kinda short and there's no sign of buds yet. (But then again, I had to replant them because of squirrel activity.) I guess and hope that this weather is a sure sign of spring. I can't wait!

Nice spring signs! Mine are more modest, so to say...

Beautiful pictures, Jon. I think everyone has come down with spring fever earlier than usual this year. Perhaps it's because of the wonderful weather we've been having. Thank you for sharing a little bit of sunshine from your garden.

I think we'll be having daffodils blooming by next week. Nice photos!

Beautiful! I love the color of your pansies. Alot of trees are blooming around here, but I'm afraid they're going to be in for a surprise.

Mmm -- daffodils and pansies! What a wonderful bit of spring colour for winter-weary eyes! :)

Ultima Morpho is a lovely pansy, but do you remember the huge hype when it first came out? Or maybe that was just around here. I like it but it doesn't make me THAT giddy...my favourites would be the antique shade colours, but honestly I never met a pansy, viola or Johnny Jump Up I didn't adore.

I'm longing to see again all my daffodils which at the moment are still covered with a thick layer of snow. I guess I'll have to wait at least a month until they push up...
