Mississippi's Football Royal Dynasty...Super Bowl XLII

On Sunday, February 3, 2008, the N.Y. Giants led by Quarterback Eli Manning, will play the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. Last year Eli's brother, Peyton Manning, Quarterback of the Colts, won the Super Bowl. Their father, Archie Manning, was the famous Quarterback at Ole Miss, my alma mater, as was Eli his son. Here in Mississippi, we consider the Mannings to be our Football Royal Dynasty. Please help me root for Eli and the Giants on Sunday evening!

My son is a huge football fan and is torn because he cheers flior both the NE Patriots and the NYGiants.

A few weeks ago, the coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders (of the CFL - the Canadian version of the NFL) lost their coach, Ken Austen. He will be the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss, his Alma Mater. We are all heartbroken in Saskatchewan, since he coached the Roughriders to the Grey Cup (the Canadian equivalent of the Super Bowl).

I'll cheer for Eli Manning's team - I like Michael Strahan.

Kate, thanks so much. We were very pleased to get Ken Austen back at Ole Miss and on staff. Thanks for cheering for the Giants in the Super Bowl...I was so very happy to see Eli Manning and the Giants win it. What a thriller! Best regards, Jon on 23-08
