Butterfly Weed Should Get An Oscar for Best Actress
I grow a lot of plants for butterflies and hummingbirds so I never use poisons and insecticides. Butterfly weed is to butterflies what catnip is to cats. They can't get enough of it.
Oh, your blog is so pretty and full of information about garden's. I love gardens! I will be back to visit times. Thank you for visiting and leaving such a kind comment on my blog...:)
I so appreciated your visit and lovely, kind words. Your garden is a big of paradise. I'm in the same temperate zone, 8, but our humidity level is on the opposite end of the spectrum! But I still try to grow tropicals...I grew up on the coast and they're my first love among plants. Is the Butterfly Weed the same thing as Lantana? I also have purple oxyllis. I planted it in a pot with Maiden Hair fern. They're so pretty together! I love your blog and will certainly return for a breath of fresh air. ~~~Blessings~~~
What a gardener and with my son's first name spelled the same way...great name of course!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! You have great flowers. I have had the toughest time growing flowers here in Savannah since we moved 6 years ago but I continue to try anyway...Sandy
We have a butterfly bush in our side yard. It has beautiful purple flowers and the butterflies LOVE it. Thanks for dropping by my blog. It's nice to meet a fellow Methodist! Have a great day.
Is there really such a thing on God's green earth as a weed, ha! Even brambles in bloom are beautiful in their own way, aren't they? I just love your photos, Jon, and thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'm an avid gardener too but don't have much time or a good enough camera to photograph my "beauties" much. But it certainly doesn't stop me from enjoying someone else's talent!
You picked an absolutely wonderful song to complement your garden and your blog. Thanks for dropping by my blog...now I best get out there and spruce up my flower beds a bit. You really put us all to shame. Thanks Jon!
What a beautiful garden you have and I loved looking at all the photos. Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. Your garden is something for the rest of us to aim for.
Thanks for looking in to my blog, I have many postcard to publish yet so come in again. I know I will look in to your blog with so many pretty flowers to see. Have a nice summer.

A Quote from Henry Mitchell's, The Essential Earthman
"Gardening is a long road, with many detours and way stations, and here we all are at one point or another. It's not a question of superior or inferior taste, merely a question of which detour we are on at the moment. Getting there (as they say) is not important; the wandering about in the wilderness or in the olive groves or in the bayous is the whole point."
