Butterfly Weed Should Get An Oscar for Best Actress

I grow a lot of plants for butterflies and hummingbirds so I never use poisons and insecticides. Butterfly weed is to butterflies what catnip is to cats. They can't get enough of it.

I so appreciated your visit and lovely, kind words. Your garden is a big of paradise. I'm in the same temperate zone, 8, but our humidity level is on the opposite end of the spectrum! But I still try to grow tropicals...I grew up on the coast and they're my first love among plants.
Is the Butterfly Weed the same thing as Lantana?
I also have purple oxyllis. I planted it in a pot with Maiden Hair fern. They're so pretty together!
I love your blog and will certainly return for a breath of fresh air.
~~~Blessings~~~
What a gardener and with my son's first name spelled the same way...great name of course!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! You have great flowers. I have had the toughest time growing flowers here in Savannah since we moved 6 years ago but I continue to try anyway...Sandy
Your garden is beautiful and I wish I could meander through it at my leisure. As long as you keep posting pictures of it, I will be content to visit.
Is there really such a thing on God's green earth as a weed, ha! Even brambles in bloom are beautiful in their own way, aren't they? I just love your photos, Jon, and thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'm an avid gardener too but don't have much time or a good enough camera to photograph my "beauties" much. But it certainly doesn't stop me from enjoying someone else's talent!
