Rice Paper Plant With Wet Foliage After Rain

I am into foliage more than flowers and the huge leaves of this plant delight me. The underside is silver and feels like velvet. Gnomes use them for umbrellas.

What lovely plants. We live in Zone 2b so many plants won't survive here, but it is amazing how many will make it through -30C winters. Lupins, lilac, delphiniums and even certain types of grape. We are currently having a great deal of rain so my plants are a bit bedraggled and need sun. Unfortunately I don't think some will even get a chance to bloom before the first frost comes, but at least it will kill a lot of the bugs.

Thanks for the nice comment on my blog.
