Tacca Chantrieri....The Bat Plant

That is the strangest flower I have ever seen. It really does look like a bat's face. Is it fragrant? Does it make a seed pod?

I'm commenting on this beauty because it was my favorite photo and we Austinites have a thing for bats ;-]
